Location of Montgomery's First Flight

John Montgomery first achieved flight on August 28, 1883, on a hill in the Otay Mesa area east of San Diego. This memorial is at a nearby hill on land donated by "Luckie" Waller and consists of the wing of a World War II era Consolidated B-32 Dominator standing upright (one of the few portions of a B-32 surviving today).
